More integrations with other apps/hardware (e.g. Fitbit, Oura, Garmin)

Fitbit seems like the best place to start and maybe we’ll add more in time, such as Fitbit, Samsung Health etc.

Yes please! Google has enough of my data. They dont need my health metrics also. I’d rather avoid them and sync right from my fitbit.

Would really like this, so I can sync sleep data from my fitbit. Sleep quality is the main thing I’m looking for.

I’m a Fitbit app user (Charge 4 device). This app has a lot of data points to consider, many aren’t built into Bearable yet. So be ready to add a bunch of health measurements! Please feel free to reach out to me for user feedback as you develop this.

For me, I’ll want anything related to sleep, exercise and nutrition, and there are a ton of health measurements within.

NEED SAMSUNG HEALTH!! PLEAAE its wrong to tell loyal customers that they have to PAY for 3rd party app just to sync to bearable. So I have to download 2 new apps that I will never use besides to sync. Its really messed up

@Brittany, I have been using free apps to move data into Bearable. Perhaps my info will help you.

The idea is to move your data into Google Fit, which has Bearable support. Google Fit is free. Since your data is in Samsung Health, get the free app called Health Sync from the App Store. It is an easy tool that lets you specify Samsung Health as your data source and Google Fit as the destination.

There are a few steps, like establishing a Google Fit account and activating Bearable’s Google Fit integration. So set aside an hour. Once done, Health Sync will run regularly in the background. I have its “Sync Frequency” setting at “every half hour” which seems to be pretty effective.

FYI: Google and Apple are all trying to be a one-stop shop for all data points in the health world. That allows vendors like Bearable to write code for much fewer apps, expecting every app to work with the one-stop shops. Bearable has done that with Google Fit. None-the-less, I feel that Samsung Health is also a one-stop shop which they should support. But you don’t need to wait or pay.

Final point: Bearable doesn’t bring over everything that you may capture in other health apps. Let them know when there is something that you wish to include in the data migration.

+1 for Garmin data too. I’d like to avoid having to use another app to sync from Garmin to Google Fit, to Bearable.

Please make sure that brings sleep data with it. I’d hate to enter that manually if my Fitbit is tracking it already.

Praying for Gadgetbridge to be included!! It’s open source and compatible with lots devices but I’m not sure many people use it T_T

Would love to have this integration. I just started using Fitbit, and I’ve stopped using bearable because I don’t have time to enter data that the Fitbit is already tracking. However, bearable has a lot more variety for tracking moods and symptoms, so I’d like to have them integrated and use them both.

It would be great if Bearable could sync with the MyFitnessPal app, since that’s what I primarily use to keep track of how many calories I’m consuming and burning a day. :)

Please add syncing with Huawei Health! They have really affordable fitness bands that don’t break after 3 months like fitbits. They also take more metrics I need for my health condition, like SpO2 (blood oxygen) at an affordable price. Lots of limited/fixed income folks have Huawei Health because of their durability and affordability! Huawei users will appreciate y’all so much! Thank you!

I’d like to be able to sync everything to Bearable that my Fitbit Sense records (including sleep metrics & oxygen saturation). I’m hoping that this will be built into their Fitbit integration.

I would like to see more info sync with google fit, like food. I use another app to track food & water intake, would be great if the app utilised the data that is there.

I also use fittofit that sync fitbit data with google fit.

I use Zeroner, and it doesn’t sync well with my Google or Samsung Heath apps. So if you could make it compatible with this app it would be amazing. I really want to be able to sync my sleep tracking to the app.

Ohhh I know it’s far fetched but syncing with CPAP apps (dreammapper, myair) would be incredible!!

    31 August 2021

With this also, I would love it if those other apps could import food. I’m already using Samsung Health as a food diary and calorie counting so it would be awesome if Bearable could recognise and sync that so I don’t have to do it twice.

Many of us with chronic illnesses use Garmin for their Body Battery. Please consider better intergration with Garmin.

Agreed! I know lots who have bought Garmin for the body battery feature - me included! Would love to see garmin integrated.

+1 for Oura. Getting actual sleep score and Readiness score would be great for correlations

Please add FitBit sync!! I love seeing my sleep but can’t view any of the correlation of symptoms/mood/factors and bearable is my favorite health tracker

If you do indeed consider adding Samsung Health sync, could you also sync nutrition, water intake and sleep cycle phases (awake, rem, light, deep sleep)? 🙏🏻

Samsung Health, Cronometer, Smart Log, Lumen.

    16 July 2022

Fitbit would be great. I sync my data from Fitbit to Google Fit and Fit has a tendency to suddenly stop accepting data with no explanation or workaround. Extremely frustrating.

    08 August 2022
  • avatar

This would save so much time and manual work! Please import full sleep data - including sleep stage duration. I notice a huge difference in quality of sleep if I get a long chunk of deep sleep in the beginning of the night, and I’d love to know which factors interfere with that.

Also workout data - type of workouts, duration, heart rate during workouts, etc - this is important to see if certain workouts are too intense and may be causing issues.

Obviously, period data, as well as the symptoms and factors already in Fitbit’s menstrual cycle tracking section (acne, cramps, intercourse, etc). If I already log it there, I shouldn’t have to log it again in Bearable.

Also please bring in HRV! Fitbit watches already track that info and it’s a great indicator of health.

With Health Connect available now, it’d be great to just connect to that and sync the data there (at least for those on Android)

  • avatar

    What Clay says!

    03 December 2022
  • avatar

Yes, sync with Fitbit would be awesome! But if not full sync, just easier integration- for example I use Fitbit to track food/calories so I really don’t need that here but I wish I could enter the macro percentages (% carbs, fats, protein) and maybe total calorie intake and deficit that Fitbit calculates to this app to see how that impacts symptoms. Would be so much better than just a label “high or low protein”.

    20 January 2023
  • avatar

Definitely been waiting on the FitBit syncing because syncing it to Apple Health then to Bearable just really doesn’t get all the data over right

    27 January 2023
  • avatar

    And withings!

    18 February 2023
  • avatar

Another vote here for ResMed myAir! I check it manually every day to see hours asleep (plus other info like AHI, mask fit, etc) and input into Bearable but it would be so much easier if that data could auto-import.

    05 March 2023
  • avatar

Agreed. I would love to be able to generate reports in bearable to help me figure out what helps my body battery improve

    16 April 2023
  • avatar

I wanted to check if there will be notifications in the app to alert when FitBit functionality is finished. If not, I think allowing users to opt into it might be nice. Emails work too, but I personally let my folders overflow so it’s harder to keep track of them!

    20 July 2023
  • avatar

Bring in food, sp02 and other records from fitbit

    22 July 2023
  • avatar

Would be great to get the recovery, sleep, and exertion scores from Athlytic synced into the app, too! That’s the app for people who want to turn their Apple Watch into an Oura/Whoop tracker. Thanks :)

I don’t have time to read all the comments but I have a smart scale (withings I think) and I would love to be able to sync that data.

    14 September 2023
  • avatar

If you have iOS, you can have Withings sync to the Health app, which Bearable already works with.

    14 September 2023
  • avatar

+1 for Garmin, I’m unlikely to really make use of the health feature if it doesn’t natively support Garmin.

    26 October 2023

Please import water data from Fitbit/android health. My hidrate spark water bottle automatically syncs with these and I’m spoiled by the other Fitbit integration.

    +1 for Garmin

    14 November 2023

I’d also love to see the app import food data from LoseIt. I’ve been tracking my food in LoseIt since 2009, so there is zero chance I’ll be switching away from that (or double-entering the data). But it would still be nice if Bearable could correlate things with my meals.

Its good for them to have health data because they’re making a health AI for doctors. The more data they have the better the AI, the more we get out of it in the future.

I might be a lone voice here… but I just purchased a Polar Verity Sense heart rate sensor (specifically for use with another health/chronic illness tracking app…) It is a good quality sensor that connects via Bluetooth and it’s relatively affordable. In the other app I use, HR monitoring (and recording) is continuous, which would be amazing if combined with the power of Bearable! Plus, I just spotted this: https://github.com/polarofficial/create-mobile-app-for-polar-sensors
