And LastPass - I think the integration is identical

In iOS 12 this is handled by the OS by default, 1password already supports this new integration.

I’ve been using this on iOS 12 and it works really well.

Given there is native support now, can we mark this as done?

Your app doesn’t seem to have a related domain associated with it so it doesn’t properly suggest usernames and passwords for exist.io. This makes users have to search instead of just having the right one automatically show up. It also doesn’t show on the username field for me (possibly related to the missing domain) and doesn’t fill reliably.

Your account creation form’s password field also doesn’t trigger the password suggestion because you aren’t using proper password fields. This is incredibly useful for creating new logins to save into either iCloud Keychain or your password manager of choice.

I can make that change for the sign up form, thanks for the feedback on that.

You’re right that we’re not setting up an associated domain, but I’m unclear on what you mean about it not filling reliably? Can you explain what issue you’re having there?

I can’t seem to get it to fill at all actually. I signed out to test and tried to fill using the iOS autofill feature with the Login I have saved in 1Password and it just doesn’t fill at all. I’m on iOS 12.1.2 on an iPhone XS Max. Autofill works fine on every other app I’ve tried it on recently but for some reason just isn’t working in the Exist app. It shows the “Passwords” button above the keyboard, I tap that, bring up 1Password to search, tap the Login, but nothing is filled into the username or password fields. I can email support if you think it’ll help but that’s about all the information I can think of to share.

Thanks Dan. I see the issue you’re having now, too. I can’t figure out what causes it, because it sometimes works perfectly and sometimes doesn’t fill at all. I may have to follow this up with the 1Password team. Thanks for the extra details.

Belle, I don’t think this is a 1Password issue, 1Password doesn’t really have any control over how iOS autofill works, we just tell the system what is available and supply the password when it’s requested. You will most likely want to look into adjusting your form to work better based on Apple’s documentation for autofilling as I think you’d have the same issues trying to fill from iCloud Keychain as from 1Password or any other password manager.

Keep in mind, I’m a designer on the 1Password team, not a developer so I don’t understand all the nitty-gritty details, but from the research I have done this seems to be the case.

Thanks Dan. I’ll have to keep digging.
