Because if you’re using Markdown (which is also accepted here on Changemap) you want to see how your post is formatted before you submit it.

So, for example, if I add some emphasis here on Changemap, I can’t see what it will look like before I comment. Whereas on MoodleNet, you can see exactly what your post will look like before you submit!
