To accurately model our expenses, I’ve ended up with a fair number of recurring expenses. This can make for a very hard to read Sankey chart. Alternately, I could combine sets of expenses into one, but this makes it difficult to adjust the expenses and understand their correctness.

The Sankey chart currently has a display option that groups expenses, but it seems to only group (or ungroup) expenses related to assets. I suggest that it also group other defined expense events, either by the existing expense categories (Living, Medical, etc), or by allowing us to create tags that we can apply to our expenses and grouping based on those tags.
