Foreign earned income exclusion, US taxes (FEIE)

US expats have the option to exclude ($130,000 in 2025) of earned income from being taxed. This is different than a deduction or credit as your other passive income is still stacked on top of this income, you still get taxed on it and at the rates of the stacked amounts.

Would be useful to expats to have the exclusion available in PL.

What’s the bigger picture here. I assume we also care about the taxes paid in the other jurisdiction? Please feel free to elaborate in the Discord that is probably a better place for longer commentary.

As the tool expands to international application, there are many people who geo-arbitrage to FIRE, or simply live abroad as expats and many of them would benefit to having FEIE built into the tool.

I’m not an expert but foreign tax credit and FEIE work differently and I would love them to be supported as it can greatly effect Roth Conversions. Would be a great addition to newest roth conversion optimization.
