'Fund With' list should not include accounts that are already "excluded from finances"
Currently, if you choose to “exclude from my finances” for an account, these funds are unavailable to spend forever, you can only view the balance. But, that account still shows up as a Fund With option in expenses. I suggest that if the funds are not available to spend, they should not show up in any “Fund With” list.
- Suggest to implement a warning when you set a funding account for an expense, to notify user that the account they picked is unavailable due to being excluded from finances.
- Or, if an account is checked to exclude from finances, maybe it should not appear at all in the “Fund with” list (since those funds are apparently unusable forever if ‘exclude’ is checked)
- Suggest a warning message on ‘exclude from my finances’ that even though balance is set to show at certain date, funds are not available to use on expenses etc.
Example: When inputting future college expenses, I thought PL was drawing from 529 properly since I had told it to fund college with that 529 account. But since since I had checked “exclude from my finances” on the 529 account, those funds were never accessible to pay for college and PL used other income for the college expense.
