Add ability to model 409a plans to see how deferred income can affect overall taxation with options for 5- 10-year payout with growth in the meantime or lump sum payout. Visibility on overall taxation burden as well as income bracket changes after retirement.
Non qualified deferred in one is available to me which can get my income out of the uglier 33% bracket and let me spread this out over a number of years. Deferred income can grow at fidelity in attractive index funds until I retire. Then payout the sum over a predetermined period of time. I’m curious about tax implications and comparing over taxes, growth of net worth, etc.
