Omg they’ve finally added API access?! YAY! 🎉

Medications was one of the primary data types I wanted this app for when I first started building it. It was deeply disappointing when I realised Apple hadn’t exposed the data at all.

I’m keen to add this as soon as possible 😄

This one’s now live, in This & That 2.0!

There’s a new onboarding page that’ll ask you to grant access to your medications. Then they’ll show up as individual data types, same as the rest.

So far I’m noticing that it’s only really useful for the medications that are every day, and also varying doses each day. If there’s a lot of zero days (ie the medication wasn’t taken) then the correlations won’t be useful until I get the “zero filling” feature built.

But for those every day medications, it’s already starting to show some interesting results for my own meds!

    Thanks!

I take a medication once a week. I’ve not logged enough data in Apple Health about it yet, though. (I only just migrated to iOS.)

Ah in that case you’ll definitely need the “zero filling” feature. And me too, for most of my meds.

I’m aiming to have zero filling in the next update, as it’s becoming the stand out missing data quality issue at the moment.
