Freestyle velocity loss control

I know the app is more geared towards doing the sheiko AI workouts, but I think this would be a cool addition to the freestyle option. When using velos ID and a freestyle workout allow the user to set a velocity loss threshold for each set and then the app will tell the user to stop the set once that has been reached. This (along with being able to add weights by percent of 1rm and copy workouts) would make the app a great tool for anyone looking to run a non-sheiko program that wants to do velocity-based training without a coach present.

What do you mean by adding weights by %? Now you type in your weight directly so I suppose you mean some assistance in doing the calculations.

yeah, sometimes it’s nice to not have to do math. So I just mean the option when adding a set and instead of typing in the weight, just type in a percent and the app does the math for you. I guess not necessary but if someone is doing percent-based work the more streamlined the interface the more likely they will be to stick with the app

The best that I think can be done is a helper window where you type in your e1RM and it’ll show you a selection of percent-based weights to pick from. The reason is what if you’re doing front squats and you don’t know your 1RM. And maybe you have an e1RM from it based on old work but it’s inaccurate because the only data came from a bad workout day with FS. Or maybe you’re doing leg extensions and never do low rep sets. So it really should be an optional button click to show more info that might be relevant for a small number of exercises. Even then, you should have some way to correct things by entering your own e1RM. But now we’re got a few extra button clicks taking away from some of the convenience.

Custom velocity stops are pretty straightforward though.
