I’d love for people voting it up to tell me what they’re actually after in this integration!

Can do! Our team has some slack channels as a kind of “project pulse”. Github, autobuild, feedback etc all automatically update that channel. As I envision it here : when a new suggestion is added, send a message to the channel. And perhaps daily, a summary of changes (e.g. “Suggestion : Slack integration got 5 new votes and 2 comments, and was moved to Completed”).

Does everyone know about the daily map update emails? You can turn them on in your profile to get an email per-map with new suggestions, comments, and votes.

I do, and it works nively! If there was a slack integration, I would almost certainly turn off the email notifications and catch up on feedback in line with other news from the projects. I try to minimise email subscriptions as email is where “the heavy stuff” (contracts and offers and legal stuff) land, and they stand out more in a quiet inbox.

Si ilar thing to Matt Bonds response really - its a way of trying to keep the team on the pulse of the users

Having a daily update post to Slack would give our entire team visibility into the map, without the entire team having to create an account. We do similar team-wide updates from other services like Salesforce.

Is it possible to have emails go into slack right? Or is that something you have to pay slack for?
