I’m aiming for high precision, so doing a 7-point scale, but these tend to drift without anchors. It would be nice to be able to attach a textual anchor to each point (and the metric itself). For example:

Sleep Quality: How restful/restorative last night’s sleep felt.

1: Very poor/unrestful (e.g., woke up exhausted) 2: Poorly restful 3: Somewhat unrefreshing 4: Neutral / Average restfulness 5: Fairly restful/refreshing 6: Very restful 7: Excellent/very restorative (e.g., woke up fully refreshed)
