In general, setting up some recommended experiments (effect of bedtime & hours of sleep on mood, for example) will teach people how to use the app and get them onboarded quickly.

Learning a new app can be intimidating.

Thanks for the suggestion Apoorv! We renamed it to “Experiment Recommendations” to cover a wider variety of options here.

Great! Effect of hours of sunlight on bedtime can be a already-setup experiment. It’s easy to get the data over the past year or so, and users can easily view the charts & correlations as soon as they open the app.

Right now, the app is very intimidating. I gave it to an intelligent friend and she couldn’t figure out how to use it within 30 seconds and got frustrated.

I haven’t set up any experiments either because I need to go through the tutorials.

Hi Apoorv, thank you for the feedback - we’re currently making a big push towards making the app more accessible, especially for new users, as we’ve gotten feedback that matches your experience and that of your friend. If you’re open to it, we’d love to have a conversation and discuss specifics about what aspects of the app are confusing or intimidating to new users so we can improve them. If you’re interested, please message us on Discord or drop us an email here
