Remember shown/hidden tabs and Add a seach by pokemon name

As the tittle says, having to hide the toggles and pokémon boxes every time i open the site makes navigation a little uncomfortable over time. Being able to use CTRL+F or search on other devices to find a pokemon is good, but it would be ideal to have this implemented on the site, that way you can navigate faster to the area of your living dex you want to see and avoid mistakes in cases where a pokemon shows up multiple times.

Thanks for the suggestion! Would you want the show/hide per device, or cloud-synced? That’ll change how we implement it.

If it helps in the meantime, Profile & Settings has a checkbox to auto-collapse completed checklist sections.

I’d definitely prefer if it were cloud-synced. I think that once you are in the flow of filling the boxes up you generally leave them open/closed as you are playing through the games, or fixing up the boxes.

Thanks for the suggestion, i have done that. i started using the site while playing through a gen 4 game so everything number 493 and over is just bloat for my specific use case. Meaning that every time i open the app i have to close the boxes to keep them out of the way for example. It is still a really good app so i have continued to use it, but it is quite troublesome.

I saw some suggestions to have Pokémon generation specific toggles but I’m not sure if that necessarily fixes the problem since there is still the case of fan games and then it becomes a endless whack-a-mole of trying to fit a user’s preferences. But the boxes makes it so the user can configure their experience. I think working with that and more ways to customize that could also help in the future.
