Yes!

I find myself also now and then, expecting to see the live stream overlay format.

In general it would be more consistent, but also useful.

• sometimes i started a vod from the “videos feed”, then just wanted to visit the channel, so the overlay would give that shortcut

• Instead of the “N watching now” at the bottom row you could have the date of the stream, like “last streamed x ago”;

Then I guess you’d want a strong visual cue for the fact that it’s not live.. i was thinking of graying out the streamer’s icon as well.. but that might not look nice.

It also lets you more easily add other controls such as the idea of a “add to continue watching playlist” button which I suggested in “”Continue Watching” Playlist” from Chris Hernandez.

Other ideas:

• a shortcut on this overlay that take you to a “ALL” view of clips made from that stream? (kinda like a filter of another clips feed you may have somewhere, further reduced to this stream?)
