Mute function

This is mainly for ATV 4 users. The ATV4 has a “universal remote” function so you don’t need to use separate remotes for tv/receiver/etc. Having mute function is needed in this scenario as you have no discrete mute function in the “universal” remote.

    This app is only for ATV4. Not sure a software/on screen mute function is needed, when no other app has that functionality.

    Also Apple never proclaimed their remote to be a “universal remote;” it just has the ability to change the volume and turn the tv on/off with the right setup. If you want the volume muted, just hold volume down for 3 seconds. It would take the same amount of time and more steps to activate the on screen controls, scroll/swipe to the mute button and then click it.

    Another button would add unnecessary clutter
