Last.fm integration

Show a list of tracks played in each timeline item’s details view.

Basically just search Last.fm for tracks played between the timeline item’s start and end times. The same as is currently done for HealthKit workouts, photos, sleep sessions, etc.

This would require an authentication stage, presumably from some new “Linked accounts” view on the Settings tab.

Last.fm integration will be in Arc 3.1, which I’m aiming to release around the same time that iOS 13 goes live. Which will presumably be some time next month. So that’s not too far away ๐Ÿ˜„

Where would you want to see total songs in the UI? Which total?

For a place. MIght be a Total x songs in the Music section? Having a total songs in the ACTIVITY view is also great.(based on the day, week, month)

For daily totals, I think that’s best left to the Last.fm website and apps, otherwise Arc would be just repeating existing functionality.

But for totals in each Arc timeline item, that totally makes sense! There’s no other way to get that info (how many tracks you listened to while at a place or on a trip).

I recommend filing that one as a new feature request, so it can be tracked separately. This one is already marked as completed, so it’ll get lost and forgotten here. But as a new feature request it won’t get forgotten!
