It would be helpful to be able to star/favorite individual items in the timeline. For example, I visit a coffee shop in another city that’s great, bookmarking it would allow me to reference it next time I’m in the same city.

Bookmarked items could be resurfaced with the search UI using a “bookmarked places” suggested search when the search sheet is brought up (similar to Mail’s suggested searches on iOS). If the search could accept search tokens (similar to Mail) filtered results like “Bookmarks” near “Austin, TX” or “Bookmarks” “Nearby” could help refine those results.
