I’d love the ability to add a specific location/time segment to my calendar, the same way a bicycle transportation segment can be added as a workout in Apple Health.

Yeah, I think a tidy way to do it would be to have an “Export” button / menu for each individual timeline item, as well as adding calendar export to the timeline view’s existing Export menu.

That way you could add an individual visit or trip to your calendar, from that item’s details view. And you could also add an entire day / week / month / year to your calendar from the timeline view (depending on whether you’re viewing the daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly timeline.

I just registered on here to suggest something very similar. Some time clock apps export their data to the calendar automatically, which would be a great feature in my opinion.
