Archive links from your tweets

Tweets of your own or those you’ve liked. Possibly with the ability to filter out domains like instagram.com. I’m not super keen on this idea, but if you’d really like it, vote it up.

Please, no. This would be a disaster!

@nikolay haha you know this would be optional! Pinboard and I think Delicious also offer this so it’s fair that some users would like it.

@joshsharp Well, still, it would be barely useful, and will fill up your DB with junk. I’ve seem implementations only storing those with certain tags.

I have tried similar auto-import on other bookmarking services, but have noticed that it just does not make sense for most of it, because context of the URL is most often lost. (Though one potential way to avoid losing of context would be to have the tweet be included either as a comment or as a some other field on the details.)

It would be more useful to me for Larder to import tweets I favourite, which often have links I want to save.

It’s actually against twitter’s terms of service to store the content of tweets. We could do it anyway, but I’d rather not so we don’t have to worry about them pulling the plug.

But if you meant tweets you favourite rather than tweets of your own, that’s fine, I’ll update the suggestion to clarify it could be either.

I would just like to bookmark links from other people’s tweets that I’ve favourited.
