A lot of people are still thinking about the trial as a “free plan” that they can happily use forever, which it is not. It’s our fault for not doing enough to dissuade users of their assumptions that an untimed free trial = a free forever plan. We need to use concepts that are immediately familiar and understood. So we’ll be looking into how best to change the free trial to seem more like a free trial that one cannot keep using indefinitely. It’ll probably end up being time-limited after all, unless anybody has any better ideas.
