(Sorry I accidentally submitted before adding the description!)
Some treatments are administered infrequently but are expected to have effects lasting longer than 5 days - e.g., long-acting injectables, maintenance neurostimulation, etc. Others may be administered frequently for an acute period, but effects are expected to start after several acute treatments and last long-term (e.g., acute neurostimulation). Others may have effects that begin after 1-2 months of daily treatment (e.g., many antidepressants). Some may be administered weekly or less and are expected to have a long lasting effect after stopping treatments (e.g., many psychotherapies).
Many of these can have side effects or temporary worsening of symptoms. So right now, the way the app handles data, these sorts of treatments can look purely harmful! Treatments can have acute and long term effects and side effects too.
It would be really great to have support for these sorts of treatments! The sorts of questions I would like to have the app help me answer here would be: what frequency of administering my treatment is best for my mood/energy level/symptoms while minimizing long term side effects? How do my symptoms/mood/energy levels vary in the time between treatments (e.g., does it worsen the week prior to the next treatment?).
The event tracking function is not quite adequate for this. Right now I track my treatments as factors and just try to visually analyze the data myself on the calendar.
