Agree - syncing with apple health blood glucose would be fantastic as if you’re diabetic your blood sugars affected pretty much every aspect of your physical and mental health. This is the main reason I use the app and currently I’m manually comparing my blood glucose graphs with my bearable graphs, which isn’t always straightforward.

It’s so weird to me to track only select things from Apple Health… if the integration was created for others it’s almost trivial and this a huge reason I don’t really use the app. Having to manually enter blood glucose (in only mmols no less!) is just silly and makes the rest of the data unreliable. Blood glucose affects everything about how you feel, diabetic or not.

Yup. It feels really silly to manually log things into Bearable if it’s the data is already making its way into HealthKit from elsewhere.
Plenty of other great, special-purpose apps play well with the HealthKit ecosystem and it’s a pity that we can’t use them together with bearable in a meaningful way 😔
On top of blood glucose, I’d love things like
- workouts,
- exercise minutes,
- mindfulness minutes,
- toothbrushing
- water/caffeine/alcohol consumption
- sexual activity
- nutrients/supplements
Really, it should be simple for users to make at least a read-only Bearable metric out of anything that HealthKit can store.
Being able to record entries would be even better!
would love to hear from the devs about their thoughts on this, because it’s the single missing feature keeping me from sticking with Bearable.
Is this in the cards at all?
