Web interface

I like the app, but it would be awesome to have a web interface in addition. There are situations when people don’t have access to their phone, for example losing it or having to get it repaired.

Could also do some great dashboards on desktop

I would absolutely love a web interface option. It’s much easier to add quick updates from my computer while I’m working.

Yes I’ve been wanting this a long time for the same reason @Tori. During work I have time to make entries but no access to my phone.

A web interface would be great! Especially to fill in notes and foods.

Web interface or desktop app would be great! 😍 I’m trying to minimize my phone time, and I’m faster introducing data in a computer, so this would help immensely

Absolutely web interface - so much harder to do this on a phone and if lucky on a tablet. It woudl be brilliant to do the setup online on desktop/laptop, and then do entries w/ whatever device, phone etc.

It would be great to have a web interface as sometimes I don’t have the energy to type on my phone, or I realise that I did not do daily reflection in the middle of the night. I could just simply do it after finishing uni work and be happy :)

I vastly prefer typing on my computer keyboard than on my phone. Entries for mood and notes would be so much easier in a web interface.

This is definitely my most wanted feature. I hate doing anything on my phone & don’t keep track of my symptoms nearly as often as I should because it’s only on my phone. 💯

I love the idea of a web interface. I am on a computer all day, and don’t often remember to update things like this on my phone, so the ability to do it in a browser would be really helpful to me.

BIG THIS! My phone is INFURIATINGLY slow, often crashes while I’m using apps, there’s HUGE delays in entering data in Bearable (and when I try to add a time, it often resets the clock after I pick the desired time, so I have to do it twice, due to probably some synch issue since my phone’s got so little working memory), the touch screen is so inaccurate so I constantly make typos, etc.

So needless to say, everything I can do on my computer instead, I do! So much faster and easier, and WAY better for typing.

The phone app’s necessary for on-the-go trips like going shopping or to the park, but with us especially staying home a lot for the time being, I’m way more likely to be on my PC.

I would love this. Probably my most wanted feature! I’m really trying to reduce time spent on my phone and often forget to update Bearable when I’m on it. Can update things during the day on my PC much more easily, particularly food which is most important for me to track

    Urgently needed!

    07 April 2021
  • avatar

Absolutely needed! And preferably ability to log in via multiple devices. But web feature is the most reasonable one, given he complexity of the illnesses and situations we are all trying to manage. On a tiny phone it could induce more trauma in its way … sometimes looking at my phone is anxiety provoking, and the tool (Bearable) to manage it (anxiety) should preferably not itself be problematic… what’s the word, iatrogenic!

Came here and registered just to vote for this. As someone who is chronically ill and disabled, I often have my doctors telephone appointments at home so while I am on the phone I can browse the app on the site! Often so much easier than an app to read things out to the doctor, plus if you are on your phone, you can’t see your app as easily!

Should be a MUST HAVE feature!

    25 April 2021

Would love this too as it’d be easier to add symptoms or factors all at once worth the ease of a bigger screen, since I have to constantly collapse my lists or they take forever to scroll through to get where I need

Also make it work across multible devices

I came here specifically to plead for a desktop version. I hate trying to navigate and type on my phone, plus I often forget to charge it. I’m on my laptop, however, most of the day.

    05 May 2021
  • avatar

same, i am frequently on my desktop at work or laptop at home and don’t have access to my phone or tablet. it would be ideal for long-term tracking to have a desktop version.

i know it takes a lot to develop something like this so potentially this could be a premium feature to be able to have it on more than one device.

A web interface for Bearable would be a life-saver! I think I would be able to record data way more consistently if I could do it through my laptop or other devices as well (I can’t always have my phone handy, and sometimes launching apps takes ages, so if I’m in a hurry I might just give up and end up not recording something relevant!). Being able to check stats etc on a laptop would also make it a lot more comfortable… The app is already great as it is, but I really hope you’ll be able to add this feature in the near future!

I think a web app would go a long way toward making Bearable much more powerful and give it a leg-up over competitors like Daylio.

The fact that Bearable is a ReactNative app means it is already Javascript-based, so it should be a much more straightforward process of porting it full-blown web app than if its codebase were native mobile. There is react-native-web that can help with this.

    20 May 2021

Agreed! And an option to have the app on multiple devices, on high pain days I tend to use just my ipad as it triggers my arm pain less… but my bearable is on my phone…

    20 May 2021

Yes, please, to the Web version. Anything more than the simplest data entry by thumb-typing is slower, more error-prone, and much more frustrating than when I use two entire hands! Please, yes.

    22 May 2021

Yes please..This should be a must have (atleast for paid subscription)

    14 June 2021
  • avatar

Yes please! I miss this feature so much I created an account just to vote on this one suggestion.

I personally don’t care much for making entries outside of the mobile app, as it’s perfect for this purpose. However, viewing and analyzing my past data on a tiny mobile screen as opposed to my desktop screen is a huge pain.

This should be especially important since currently your premium offering is more complete and deeper data analysis and I feel completely disincentivized to pay for that if my only way to view these graphs/insights would be via a mobile app.

This was the first thing i looked for with this app. Being able to add information during work or when i dont have access to my phone or just to use a real keyboard would be amazing.

    27 July 2021

Please consider a desktop version the use of the app would greatly be improved for those that struggle with phone version. I massively support this suggestion and this is also my most desirable request.

I personally am not resubscribing until there is a web interface. It’s just too difficult to look at reports on mobile, and I really need to get off my phone in general and don’t need more “good” reasons to be on it. Otherwise would totally be on board with trying bearable again for a year, as it’s been extremely thorough.

Also, for the record, I did also make an account on this just to upvote and subscribe and make this comment.

With so many websites for desktop access using an equal interface online vs app, it would be amazing to see the app pop up online with all the the same (already) scripting - FINGERS CROSSED!

Add me to the list of: “this is so important to me I registered just to comment.”

Adding info is def an app activity for me but accessing the data on a web page would be so useful; to try to get around this i installed the app on my chromebook only to learn that you can’t use it on multiple devices– and now I can’t even get the chromebook to log out!

disappointed that this is not even on the roadmap. I spend most days on pc, not on phone, and its really a non-starter for me…

Agreed this would be huge, also would allow us to use multiple devices such as a tablet or work phone to input data as well.

    05 March
  • avatar

Yes. This causes significant technical issues for me. Because of viewability issues, I use the app on a tablet but all my fitness and health apps are on my phone. Often I have trouble syncing. It would be great to have view only clients on the web or app.

I use this app in conjunction with Habitica, which has both a mobile and desktop version, and I’d love to be able to have both open on my computer to avoid phone distractions when I need to.

    Ahh, someday I hope!

A web interface would be super helpful for me to customize symptom, medication, and activity tracking. I am new to having a chronic health condition. There are so many changes to what I need to track and their prioritization. After a really energetic first two months of using Bearable, I haven’t had the energy to keep up with tracking. As my illness unfolded, I kept adding new tracking items, but found a barrier in rearranging and archiving tracking lists on my phone. As a result, my lists got too long and overwhelming. When I’m feeling better, I’ll be able to make the needed changes on my phone. I know the Bearable team would need to put a lot of effort and resources into making this wishlist item a possibility, but, having the option to make tracking changes on the desktop/web would be a gamechanger for me. Thank you for consideration :)

I also want this feature so bad I made an account to vote! I hope you’ll reconsider this, it’s clear a lot of users really want this

I also created an account here just to upvote this. I had no idea this place existed, so I imagine many other people would upvote this if they knew. :)

I have been living with chronic conditions for over 27 years. I have multiple conditions. Sometimes using a computer to add things is easier much for my hands, neck, and etc versus my phone. As a new (premium) user doing setup, I have many symptoms I want to add to create lists for my separate ailments, and I am dreading having to do this by phone. I don’t use a tablet and just have a slightly larger sized phone. I am an IT Project Manager and have managed many multi-million dollar projects, so I do understand the ins and outs of adding features and doing priorities based on the backlog. I really hope this gets put into an iteration soon for an upcoming release. That would be amazing for the end users who need that additional support for logging things!

I’ve been an intermittent Bearable user for several years now, and it’s really THIS that keeps me from more consistent use. I spent significantly more time on my desktop, thanks to chronic hand pain and poor eyesight. A desktop/web interface for this app should be an accessibility concern, and would likely be incredibly helpful for fellow disabled folks for being able to take it to their doctors for more effective care. I know it would be invaluable to me.
