More data from Apple Health/ Google Fit

I use a variety of apps to track various things and they all import to Apple Health. It would be so amazing if Bareable could pull even more data straight from Apple Health.

For example: Water intake Food log (or even just calories) Exercise Menstrual cycle More detail from Sleep- e.g. phases- REM, deep, light…

And things like that.

Thanks!

I’d add I wish more (all) symptoms that are available in HealthKit would sync too.

I’d like Bearable to pull nutrition/food data from Apple Health. That would be a workaround for MyFitnessPal users.

Medication and water would be the main ones for me as being on crutches I don’t always have my phone on me so find them much easier to track through my Apple Watch/apple health app though it would be useful to have them on bearable so I could see patterns. Nutrition would also be useful

I’m thinking of this in reverse. Would love to see Bearable data go INTO Apple health. The Apple interface for logging data is cumbersome but would love to see my Bearable data in the Apple app.

Apple Health: sync “Active Energy” and “Exercise Minutes”. These are the rings in Apple Fitness.

Sync for HRV should the night HRV or first measure in the morning. This is what sleep / exercise readiness apps like Athlytic use. Check their FAQ.

    Yes to sync water!

‼️if there was any possible way to include constant glucose tracking, and the range in which you wanted your glucose to be, that would be so helpful for us diabetic folk. those parameters can be found easily on on dexcom g7 app, in settings, no device required.‼️

Especially the medications. I track my meds in Apple health and would like to see the insights from bearable when I start/change a med/dosage, but I’m not tracking the same thing in two apps. And it takes up a lot more space as a list in bearable than it does in Apple health.

We had a similar recommendation from another member of the community:

“Pull in HealthKit Deep Sleep, REM, etc data.

It would be great to pull in the time asleep according to sleep zone, etc deep sleep.

Then we can measure what factors improve or reduce our deep sleep.”

Really want it too import when I take what medications from the health app.

Yes, syncing all Apple heath data would be wonderful — especially medication. I just downloaded the app and was disappointed to see that the medication category doesn’t sync. I already track all my meds in apple health and would love to see that integrated.

Being able to have my medications synced from Apple Health is crucial! I’m currently trying to assess how my meds might be impacting symptoms and use my Apple Watch to quickly enter them into Apple health when I take them. Having to enter them manually again into Bearable makes the process a lot less convenient.

I’m tracking my water intake with a smart bottle and having it synced through Apple Health would really help.

Yes, 💯 % I’m trying to figure out how the timing of my 4/day medications affects everything–sleep, mood, energy, activity level, you name it!

I’ve wound up hacking the symptom periods, using the two in the middle as stand-ins. (6am=Before meds, noon=After meds. Come onboard). But wow is that clunky!

Another user has also requested the same:

    “Apple Health Sync”

“Brilliant sync with the heart rate and steps but would be really good if it synced medications, mindfulness minutes, activities and body temperature.”

Another user as also requested a specific apple health sync:

“Sync “time in sunlight” from Apple Watch”

“Apple Watch collects data on time spent in sunlight. I’d like to sync this data to Bearable”

I use Apple Health, Google Fit, Samsung Health, Fitbit, etc., and it would be great if Bearable read and wrote all the data to and from them. It would also be great if it integrated with Apple Watch, Samsung Watch, Pixel Watch, Fitbit, etc.

Being able to sync: - menstruation calendar from Flo, Maya. Right now I have added “Follicular phase” “Luteal phase”, “Ovulation”,” Menstraution” in the Reproductive health sections. I hope this would generate predictions and advice about foods, reminder to take that double dose of anti-depressant in the future for pms during certain days of Luteal phase and good mood activities in my Bearable app in the future.

Most important: ability to sync sleep: sleep quality and sleep/wakeup times to correlate with my In bed-times added in the Bearable app.

Would be good, as other have said, to sync meditation and workouts with Bearable more. Could be a notification push in future ” You felt better when you raised your pulse to XX for YY long time during workout X times last week”.

Also food: I have tried to track diet in weight-loss apps. Usually it ends up I have to track both in the smart-watch app and in the weightloss-app. And now in Bearable. Your tracking is the easiest since it doesn’t involve calories and specific products but its still a third app to use for this.. and for me its vital information. If not calories tracking then importing data of the food and identify and color code in categories such as marking foods as veggies, protein from animal, processed vegetarian protein, natural veggie protein (beans), fast carbohydrates, salty, unsaturated/saturated/trans- fat, simple/complex carbohydrates.. so you don’t need to get focused on Calories, but can get a sense of health and dietary balance. Perhaps a summary of calories would do, but many vegans for example Loose weight despite higher than normal calorie intake. Women also need More calories during different periods of their cycle, so recommending a different amount of calories all through the cycle or atleast .. not reminding to reach the same set of calories each day.. that can effect the mood and hormon levels. Eating different foods and “checking the boxes” of remembering to eat fish/nuts during Follicular phase can have an effect on PMS later in luteal and menstruation phase. It would be really cool if Bearable app users compare if eating according to the cycle has no/minimal/big effects.

I also want to say: I only want information coming into Bearable, not out. Since it’s an app people are supposed to use to track their medicine and diagnosis symptoms it should still be privately held away from smartwatches or any background checks for employment that sell data to marketing companies. I only want to be able to use it for my own knowledge and show and explain to a friend, doctor or medical professional.

ALSO A SYNC FROM GARMIN please! Would be great to sync straight from my Garmin and not have to go via Apple Health (specifically- Garmin measures HRV as “stress” and Apple Health doesn’t recognise that it’s HRV so I have to add it manually right now)
