Timestamped symptoms

It would be so much easier to track symptoms by being able to add separate timestamped points for each symptom (exactly the same way Mood and Energy Level works now). Averaging symptoms (even across the 6h spans) is hard

Yes, it would make tracking what symptoms happen in less than a 6 hour block. Some of my symptoms don’t last that long.

I need to track auras by days & time for my neurologist. Right now, I use another app for this. If I could include that here, that would be great.

For some of my symptoms, the exact timing is way more important than the average severity. The current set-up makes it hard to track side effects too

It would be incredibly valuable to track my Focus (custom field) at different times of day. Being able to track my Focus was my primary reason for using the app, and I’m bummed that it’s not built to support this.

This would make the app pretty much perfect! Do it just like the mood section 😃

Yes please!!! this app would be perfect if I could timestamp my symptoms. The exact time is very important for figuring out triggers

It would also help to have the tag system that mood has. It could help build context. You could tag things like suspected triggers, or location.

It would be nice to time stamp for when you’re logging it but also maybe a start/finish. One symptom of mine that comes to mind is this IBS symptom where it starts with an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. It builds up to almost unbearable pain. I can literally feel it working its way through my digestive track and the pain often dissipates as it moves down and then eventually it passes. Often ending with a period of excessive flatulence. It would be nice to accurately track the entire episode and the variation of symptoms along the way. It would also be nice to see that the flatulence happens at the end of the episode. With current tracking it would either appear that they simply happen together if logged in same period or not relate them at all if they appear in different blocks.

Just out of curiosity, what app are you using to track auras?

This is the only major issue I have with the app. My symptoms can vary wildly from one moment to the next and having to summize overall 4 times a day isn’t helpful. I LOVE how the mood tracker is set up. If there was an option to set up symptoms like that it would be PERFECT.

We had a related suggestion submitted by another member of the community:

“Ability to track how often a symptom occurs in a day.

Description: Many symptoms come and go multiple times a day, it would be convenient to be able to track how many times that symptom occurs. The app already tracks the time (12am, 6am, 12pm, 6pm), but doesn’t allow for more than 4 entries.

Personal context: I have chronic nosebleeds. The most nosebleeds I’ve had in a day were 9. I’ve had a nosebleed almost everyday this summer, and it’s usually happened more than twice per day, anywhere between 3-6 times a day. It would be awesome to be able to track how many nosebleeds I’ve had a day, so I can compare it with other data such as stress, weather, medicine, exercise, etc (most of these are already on the app).

How I’m managing currently: If I have 4 nosebleeds or less, I just mark the severity at whatever time is closest (12am, 6am, 12pm, 6pm) . I use the notes section of the nosebleed symptom to specify the amount of nosebleeds and what specific times.”

I use for my chronic cough - medicines caregory. I have much more than 4 or six, the highest was 2500 cough a day. So fo chronic things it could be better to have opportunity to write the numbers (for some just click to collect events and sum them up)

Also for mw would be qool to have data import from coughPro App as it is impossible to count cough by myself.

So now i use coughPro app to count the cough, and then i am writing down results in bearable app so it is more useful. For now i writing these down as a medicine.
