Import Screentime from OS

It’d be nice if we could grab screen time from the operating system, assuming this is something HealthKit or other providers expose.

Yes. And Digital Wellbeing for Android. Also 3rd party services like RescueTime.

Yes this! I have factors for it but it means Inhave to leave the app to get the data and often I can’t be bothered but it’s something I need to track

there are a lot of scientific Researches that confirm the mood status of the person and screentime.. in other cases we will not have so many populate digital-detox apps

This would be very interesting to see! The data is all already there, so that’s awesome

I would also love if this was app and/or timestamp specific - seeing which apps, or screentime during what time of day correlate to mood shifts

My only concern with this is that not all screen time is bad. For ex, if I’m studying or booking flights, that’s different than going down some Reddit or Wikipedia rabbit hole about this random historical fact I just heard. 😆 (yes I have adhd haha)

I think importing the screen time from Apple might need a lot of configuration options in the settings for Bearable so we’re able to choose what screen time to track. Apple has some different categories, which might be a start. For ex, maybe I’d only want to import Games and Social time.

I would really love to sync at least total screen time to the app as is done Apple health metrics like step count. While I agree not all screen time is bad, I know for myself, more time spent on my phone means less time spent with myself or others, or meaningful rest in IRL which all contribute to mood and wellbeing🙃
