Having the action ‘customize home page’ at the bottom on the today/entry page means I end up in the wrong place because I auto-, pilotted myself to the button.

Adding a ‘save’ button with some encouraging feedback would be awesome. In fact, the button wouldn’t save anything (your input model is immediate I think), but an “All done!’ affordance that says ‘thanks! Great job, keep it up. Your data was saved when you entered it.’ would be a nice touch

Slightly easier - just make a setting to hide the customize button…
