Love this idea! Would it be articles selected for users based on data? Or customizable feeds, for example? I’m really looking for a spot to add some personal content to motivate me. Maybe some quotes, articles, pictures, things like that.

I would love it if this was connected to a toggle on or off page from settings. This kind of content is great for some and wildly distracting for others. It’s one of the things that drove me nuts about MyFitnessPal. In their case, I think they put too much focus on content, not enough on functionality, I would hate to see bearable follow that path.

I’d love it if we could connect it with feeds specific to our health goals or our health issues as well!

Not keen on this, personally. It feels very extraneous to the core purpose of Bearable, and the actual user benefit seems like it would be pretty negligible compared to the labour involved in implementing and maintaining this feature. The content would have to be very carefully curated to avoid misinformation and bias. I would prefer to see the man-hours involved in this put towards features more central to the purpose of Bearable.

It also seems inevitable that such a feature would be used to deliver sponsored content. I’m not a fan of this sort of thing, but I do recognise its value as a revenue stream, and as I’m not currently paying for Bearable I can’t really talk. If this were a major motivator in implementing such a feature, though, I think it would be important to be transparent about this.

Also, I feel like I’ve already got a million apps, browsers and search engines trying to get me to read articles I don’t care about - I don’t need another…!

I think some people would be interested in it but I personally hate that kind of stuff so if you do end up implementing it, please make it optional (i would love to be able to turn it off)… Flo, windows, etc. All have this and it’s soo annoying.

Nope, would personally hate this and take away from its core purpose. There are so many functions requested for better tracking, I would personally give that the focus of implementing.

Agree with everything Cai says, doesn’t fit with the purpose of the app.

Same, I agree with Cai and others above

Agreed, I would personally not want this feature for all of the reasons Cai mentioned

I’m also not keen on this. I’d be one of the users that disables it right away. I have other places for news and relevant content. I’m relying on Bearable for logging an analysis.

I would love this if it had stuff like meditations, breathing exercises, light exercise videos, and such as well, with it being customisable what you see if you want the feed at all, and preferably to have those videos attached to factors and potentially suggested if you register a symptom

No. Who decides what’s relevant to me? Sorry but again, stay in your lane. This app is for logging symptoms and being able to track patterns. Tweak it in those areas. Make it work better with data, importing, syncing, sharing with our medical professionals. Don’t keep trying to jump into other areas. It will push people away especially when you are not to be a medical app.

This would definitely be useful! And I’d trust these creators to do a decent job of it, given their rational approach to Bearable. But with that much, it would make much more sense as another app (but please not another subscription; idk how you could combine them but most people hate those; they only look favorable because a small fraction of users have money to burn and the rest are excluded from the data for one reason or another. The reality is fair prices, even gift economies, serve much larger audiences and are often more financially beneficial long term!)

Reallly depends how this is implemented. I strongly disagree that Bearable has to be a single-purpose app, but I do agree that optimizing core features should come before extended stuff.

A way to link web articles in the “Bear” tab could be the place to start? People could link meditations/guides/games that help them or articles that lead them to understand an impact.

If your team wants to write articles, you could suggest them somewhere but host them on the website.

But please, no matter what, don’t add AI advice. I’m sure you’ve seen how dangerous that can be, let alone the many other issurs. Honestly, I don’t think even algorithmic suggestions should be added either. Just make an organized library or maybe a “learn more” button where appropriate.
