Logging bowel movement between the bristol scale

Sometimes a bowel movement will come out for example half type 2 and half type 4. It’s very clear what types the two sides are but how do you log it? I choose type 3 but it would be nicer to instead be able to mark “type 2 and type 4” without marking it instead as multiple bowel movements.

Or sometimes a bowel movement is for example somewhere between a type 3 and type 4, but you have to pick one. It would be nice to have the option to say it’s between two types, a type 3.5 if you will.

Hey Amy, thank you for taking the time to make this suggestion. This is a good point and I can see how it would be useful.

This would be useful! I’d modify the request to include the option to save a BM or failed BM without logging Bristol type at all, since I’m also tracking times that I had to run to the bathroom but couldn’t actually go, and the bowel section is the most logical place for that. I’ve tried using a factor for it, but since I still need to select the Bristol type to save, I’m generating false records that complicate my analysis. It’s also irritating to have an automatic public toilet disappear the evidence before I can log, so I have to make up that information half the time anyway. I’d much rather have Bristol type be an optional detail I can add when I have that information.
