Add (missing) position

Maybe closely related to “split”, as sometimes I miss the possibility to add a spot that Arc didn’t get, which could be due to too short visit, but still an important place to save/remember. Arc IS my BIG memory!!! Where was I when, and it’s awesome.

If no stationary segment was recorded at the appropriate location / point in time, then yeah, it would be very useful to be able to mark that specific location and time as “I was at a place here”.

Whether this is done as part of the segment split feature, or separately, I’m not sure. Will have to figure that out once I get started on it. Then it’ll become more clear which approach will work best.

I think this would be valid for an issue that I encounter sometimes: I have two places which are very close to each other, and sometimes, when I move from one place to the other, there is no additional Stationary segment recorded, no matter if I restart Arc or try something else. Not sure if a “split” of the Stationary segment would be the right thing to do, or add a new segment

I have the same problem as Bernd, there are places around the area where I live and they don’t get noticed or recorded as the Arc app thinks I am still at home. To be able to add a missing place would be really helpful.

Split is pretty useless if you want to insert a location. It would require split to 2 segments with a stationary visit between transports.

This one is easy to do now in Arc v3.14! It should be going live on the App Store tomorrow.
