Tags / hashtags for visits, trips, and notes

The ability to assign tags to locations where the user can assign a number of tags to a location and then when visiting that location again it will automatically assign the same tags to the location. They can also add custom tags if they wish. For example.

1 - User stops at a train station. 2 - User create a tag template with specific tags to this location that they wish to use again if they visit again. 3 - User visit this location again in a couple of weeks. 4 - ARC automatically assign the specific tags the user assigned previously in step 2. (Dark purple tags in mockup) 5 - User decides to add new tags to this visit BUT is not part of the automatic tag templates. These are just once off tags. (Light purple tags in mockup) 6 - User clicks on one of the tags to view all locations assigned to this tag.

If my explanation above isn’t clear let me know. I’m also happy to mockup the other screens like how you’d manage tags, etc, etc. :-)

    Tags / keywords / hashtags is something that I really want to add! So it’s definitely planned (albeit without yet being assigned to any specific upcoming release).

    I’d love this, for both visits and moves.

    It’d be really awesome if there were different tag types (perhaps represented by different colors).

    Things that I’ve wanted to tag (I use notes for some of these, but it gets tedious):

    Types of things that I want to be use custom tags for include subcategories of activities (ie, was this car ride a Taxi, a Rental Car, a Uber, etc.), public transit lines or bus numbers, names of friends that I was with at a place, or name of movie or band I saw at a venue.

    I only need one-off tags, but it would be great if they had autocomplete and if I could assign different colors to tags of different types (ie, friends in yellow, transit agency in blue, car type in purple).

    I’d love to be able to see breakdowns of time spent per tag, but if they are exported in the JSON exports, I could build that myself.

    Love this idea. For me, I would like to add the person who spend time with me as a tag, so in the future I can review the time I spend with him.

    Also, places should be able to get tagged (e.g. as Restaurant, Hotel, …) and then we could have statistics like calendar heatmaps on those tags summarizing multiple places!
