+1 for OneDrive. I’d really love OneDrive Business support because I use MS365 in a private capacity. It’s a different API, however.

    Failing that, +1 for WebDAV.

iCloud backup works now. No priority to establish other backups, but support for export to Dropbox might be useful.

This was a feature I had high hopes of achieving, but ended up being much less achievable than I’d expected.

Basically iOS has a built in system for making this possible automatically - you simply select any folder visible in the Files app as the target destination, including folders on different cloud services, and Arc can then store a reference to that folder and put its backup files there.

The catch is that that built in system just plain doesn’t work. It was initially poorly documented, then the documentation disappeared completely, and now it appears it might be something that’s only possible if the cloud provider has specifically built in support for it in their “file provider” extension. If the latter is the truth of the matter (and I still haven’t found absolute confirmation of that), then it appears that none of the cloud providers to date have built in that support 😑

So yeah, it should be trivially easy and already done, but in reality it appears to either be broken or impossible or not supported by the cloud providers. Ugh.

The alternative is to build in support for each cloud provider manually, individually, using that cloud provider’s own SDK. Which would mean a massive amount of extra work, and that work would need to be repeated for each cloud provider Arc supported. But that would take far more time than I can justify spending on a feature like this 😞
