Yeah, custom types would definitely solve this. I wonder though if it also makes sense to add “Electric car” as a built in type too though, given that the distinction is a very important one!

In the meantime, I recommend using another type to differentiate them in your data. Something that you personally would be very unlikely to use (thus is essentially a “spare” type). One example might be “songthaew”, which are Thai shared taxis.

There’s no harm in using a type “incorrectly” like that, because Arc’s learning engine learns specifically for you personally. So it will learn to identify that type however you personally use it.

Or perhaps E-Vehicle because then I can apply it to my ebike too. Which custom types would also solve. I’ve traditionally lumped all e-things like e-scooters and e-bikes under Scooter because I rarely borrowed them but now that I have an e-bike, I need to figure out a better solution for stats!
