Add GPS data to photos

As a photographer I’d love if you could use arcapp to write GPS coordinates to imported photos in the photo library. I take a lot of photos on a dslr without a GPS receiver and all those photos have no location data

This used to actually exist in Arc, years back! There was a button in the photo viewer to add a location to the photo.

I removed it because it was unreliable in some cases, and I wasn’t sure that anyone was even using it. After removing it no one complained, so I figured it really was just me using it.

If there’s enough interest I can certainly bring it back, along with fixing the edge case problems it had. Though I think to be really useful it needs to be able to be used on selections of photos, not just one photo at a time.

@Tim H. If it’s more practical or useful for you to sync location data on a pc, I recommend GeoSetter. My camera typically uses my phone’s location directly, but when it fails every so often, I find it really easy to export a .gpx from Arc and sync the few missed photos using GeoSetter.

@Matt I personally don’t have a use for geotagging on my phone and would rather see other features! Just my opinion. Thanks for all your work!
