Add the place’s category below the place’s name and a Google / Foursquare icon

I can’t post my image but for example I Paris, I have 3 “Arts & Métiers” which describe 3 different locations with the same icons. But which are totally different: subway station, café, public square.

This might partially be the result of many place categories not yet being hooked up to appropriate icons, thus falling back to the default icon. It’s a manual process to hook them up, so I tend to just do a bunch more of them as I see them come through in search results, when I have time.

Though there’s also the chance it could be made worse by the same places coming back from both Mapbox and Google Places, which as you say, isn’t something that’s differentiated in the results.

I’ll add a todo for fixing that last one, hopefully soon! (And also hooking up another batch of place categories to icons).

I don’t think we’ll need a feature request for this, as it’s really something simple that should already be there. Hopefully I can get it done for one of the updates coming soon.

Although I guess, depending on how the presentation of the Mapbox vs Google Places source icons goes, it might end up being the case that two lines per result become necessary. In which case, you’ll get your full feature request 😉 I’ll see how it goes as I’m building it - not sure which way it will go yet.
