A third (middle) segment when splitting

Currently when splitting there are 2 segments available: First and Second, which is a really good enhancement. With a Third it would be even smarter, as the one in the middle can now split ie a road segment into: road - place (stationary) - road, which would change (at least) my world😊 What do you think?

I recommend trying the “Extract Brief Visits” feature.

The most common use case for wanting a second split point is for extracting brief visits, hence the creation of that new separate feature that specialises in doing just that.

I completely get your point, but this (among others) is a “drive by”, that don’t show brief stops, but “Transport”

The thing about the current “2 segments”, at least for me, is that they are usable, but often causes quite a bit fiddling around to get it split - often first a part which is some kind of movement (transport, walking, running etc.) to stationary, then split again this section again to an even smaller bit, of which first part will be a place, and the rest reversed to “transport” of some sort, whereas if 3 sections was possible, this could be done in 2 strokes, and not 3 or 4 - if you can follow me?

Bjarne, make sure you’re actually using the “Extract Brief Visits” view. That view doesn’t care whether samples are transport or stationary or any other type, it simply looks for clusters of samples.
