Tap the map to bring back the bottom sheet

I always find myself tapping the map to try and bring back the bottom sheet when editing segments only to realise that “I’ve done it again” and missed the little button right at the bottom that’s supposed to bring the sheet up.

I understand that the map can be tapped to bring up POI details, but if I tap a completely blank space, it’d be nice if that brought the bottom sheet up.

I’d be curious to see how you find the new “full map” flow in the upcoming Arc Editor app.

The new flow follows more standard iOS app interaction patterns, in that getting to the full map view involves swiping down on the header of the content sheet, same as you’d swipe down sheets in any other app.

With that interaction in place, it might be more natural to then restore the content sheet by swiping up on its header down the bottom. In the new Arc Editor UI the sheet doesn’t disappear completely, it slides down so that only the header is visible. Which means there’s no need for that little “restore the content” button at the bottom.

Arc Editor should be in public beta within the next month or two.

You read my mind. Having a partially obscured card that swipes up/ down was going to be my other suggestion.

I’m a willing TestFlighter if you ever need someone.
