Managing your team

How do I add people to my team?
On a free plan, teams can only consist of one member. If you want to add other team members, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Go to your team's profile page and click "Members" in the menu. Here you can manage your current team members and invite new members. Enter the email addresses of the members to invite, and they'll be sent an invitation via email which allows them to join your team.

There are two roles available for team members. Administrators can access everything, including managing team members, billing, etc. Moderators have reduced access and can add, edit, and delete tasks and comments only. They do not have access to the management pages for your maps or team.

How do I delete my team?

Go to the profile page for your team, and under the Profile section click the link "Delete team". Complete the form to irreversably delete your team and any maps it owns. This will also cancel any paid subscription you have.

How do I suggest a new feature for Changemap?

Changemap has its own changemap! Visit it and suggest a new feature or add your vote to an existing request.

Yes, you can create a single map for free. Start here.

How do I upgrade to the paid plan?

If you don't have a team or a map yet, you can sign up and make one for free here.

When you first create a team and a map, you'll be on the basic free plan. This plan has certain restrictions such as allowing only one map and one team member, and lacks features likes API access and our Slack integration.

If you want to upgrade to a paid plan to use these features or remove the restrictions, go to your team's profile and billing page. Scroll down to the Billing section and click the button "Upgrade to Standard", then complete the payment form to begin a paid subscription.

Your subscription will recur monthly and can be cancelled at any time.

How do I cancel a paid subscription?

Go to your team's profile and billing page. Scroll down to the Billing section and click the button "Manage billing", which will take you to the payment centre. Click the button "Cancel plan". You'll be able to keep using your paid plan until the end of your current billing section, at which time you'll be downgraded back to the free plan.

The free plan has a number of restrictions, so your team may not be able to use Changemap in the same way — for example, only a single map is allowed. If you have more than one map active when your subscription ends, those extra maps will be deactivated, and you'll need to upgrade again to reactivate them.

What paid plans are available?

End-users can use Changemap for free. If you want to create your own map, you can also use a single starter map for free forever on the basic plan. For access to more maps, team members, and features, you can upgrade to a paid plan.

How do I see my invoices?

Go to your team's profile page, and scroll down to the Billing section. Click the "Manage billing" button to go to the payment centre, then scroll down the page to see the list of past invoices. These can be exported as PDFs as required.
