Convert Progress Points to "Snapshots"

Don’t just save a high-level rollup of account categories/subtotals in progress points – snapshot everything at the underlying account level. This should enable plotting more interesting stuff, and also pave the way for features like “make a plan starting at snapshot X”

Really could use this, debugging mistakes is very difficult, if not impossible without this.

This would be helpful for my use case, which is… As a new user, I make frequent changes to my plan. I would like my fixed date plan to use starting condition data that was recorded in PL.

Also, as a new user, I’m not exactly sure I’m doing it right. It’s hard to tell because I keep re-creating the Fixed Date plan every time I make a change to my primary, Today plan.

I’d love to see this feature. Otherwise, going back and amending incorrect numbers is very complicated and unlikely to work.

This would also be very helpful in being able to determine whether you are on track and your projections are realistic on need to be adjusted.

it’s the main thing preventing the use of PL as a true net worth tracker

Absolutely agree — it’s the main thing preventing the use of PL as a true net worth tracker. Without full underlying account snapshots, progress points feel too abstract and limited for accurate historical tracking or retrospective planning. This feature would be a huge step forward.

It would be super helpful if we could dig into the progress points. As an example, it appears that on Sept 30th I changed the way I handle a property that I co-own with my sister. Originally, I had it as a real asset but that was very confusing because I only owned half of it so I switched it to just net income. Now my progress looks like I lost a LOT of money in one day.

Additionally, as updates are made that allow users to more accurately model their “weird” scenarios, they might make changes like this which will mess up their history. This will help future proof the tool.
