So just like the Stacked by Account or Stacked by Category plot, but with two values for each account: 1. cost basis 2. the unrealized gain

Cost basis is very important and needs to be clearly understandable for early retires planning draw from taxable accounts

Not being able to see cost basis makes it very hard to understand how the model is handling gains on distributions. Also, knowing how much unrealized gain is expected in a future portfolio is critical for investment planning and inheritances.

100% want this. I have heavily appreciated stock from a startup that I may eventually want to divest from. Both My NW and liquid NW figures are deceptively high and don’t represent what I can actually liquidate from my accounts.

A workaround is to create an expense on the account I want to liquidate and “binary search” the value that causes tax+expense to equal the total account value, but this is cumbersome and must be repeated for every scenario or year that I may want to liquidate the account.
