Not sure what people want here, possibly counting number of messages sent in slack, maybe number of mentions also. We’ll have to see what their API will let us get also.
This would be great for having daily summaries sent to Slack, I’d gone looking for IFTTT and saw that was off the table, as such here’s my +1 on direct Slack integration then :)

This could also possibly be great for analyzing your Slack usage, if that’s possible via API. For example, “You have a better day when you send fewer Slack messages”
Interested in messages sent, mentions made and received, even channels posted in (proxy for focus for me). Important to enable multiple slack teams as well.
For us at HolacracyOne, Slack is used far more than Email/Gmail. So, # items sent, received, and read in Slack is much more meaningful than in Gmail.
Actions made in Slack would be awesome for all of the reasons already mentioned by others. A lot of my day is usually spent in that app, and it’s likely that I’m not the only one since the type of person who uses Exist is probably more likely to also use Slack or other integrative cloud-based tools
Slack is the biggest time suck ever, and interrupts deep focus work constantly. I wish I could track it to show just how much the volume of messages is impacting my productivity.
