We look for popularity among our users when considering integrations, no matter where our users are from. As you can see, Runtastic doesn’t have many votes, so at this point it’s unlikely that many of our current users would get value from this integration. We don’t have a lot of time or resources so we have to prioritise the development work that offers the greatest benefit to our userbase.

I’d like to bump this up. In 3 years, Runtastic has partnered with Adidas and has become a stronger alternative to Runkeeper. Personally, I have switched, and so could maybe others? That being said, I do not know the status of their APIs and availability for developers, perhaps it is worth a quick investigation.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. The sad news is, if they ever did have an open API, they don’t seem to at all now, so it isn’t possible. Everyone seems to be moving that way, which is bad for users.
