Interesting idea! But I would consider these two different metrics. Being away from home vs. the act of travelling.

Maybe even three… Work commute time vs. non-commute travelling.

I think mode of transport would also be relevant to me. (I think it’s worth paying for a train over a bus when I travel, but is it really?) Moves for iOS allows you to specify what kinds of transport you take when it detects “Transport” motion – I’d keep it manually updated if Exist used that information.

Does Google Location History have an API? If yes, this would probably be perfect for this and in general a really cool integration.

It does not.

I’d like to see it something like the way it’s done in life cycle. Time broken down by activity/location. Travel being it’s own category.
