Location mapping

With the connections of Moves and Swarm, would you be able to plot points on a map of your visited locations? Dots are bigger or brighter the more you visit them. Possibly show the type of travel between them, like Moves does in app.

It would be nice to tag locations as well.

…or the larger the dot the more time spent there (as well as number of visits over time). So the coffee shop I spend hours at 5 days a week would be a bigger for than the post office I’m at a few minutes a day 5 times a week.

I’d love to see correlations, too: you’re happier when you’re spending more time at home, or more time at the pub, or whatever.

I would like to see a places timeline similar to https://gyrosco.pe/.

They use the swarm location services API to do the categorization automatically and combine it with device sensors / fitbit data to give you results like:

spent 8.5 hours at home, while sleeping walked 20 min to the gym spent 90 min in the gym, while logging 60 min weights and 30 min yoga walked 20 min to home spent 1.5 hour at home, drove 10 min to $favorite-date-bar spent 2 hours at $favorite-date-bar, while consuming 350 calories

    … etc.

At the end of the week, i get a sumary:

spent 40 hours at home spent 2 hours at the gym spent 3 hours at bars....

    etc.

A simpler solution to start with could be to track time spent at specific locations that the user specifies; like “Home” and “Work” – and possibly “Away” if near neither. Having the Exist app on my phone already tracks location, so maybe it’s just a matter of geo-fencing already existing data.

let’s throw off money on the implementation of this feature? we need to transfer through api to the existential data from one of the existing solutions. It seems to me that this is not a big task!

The app Life Cycle does basically this, using Foursquare’s location/site information. Perhaps Life Cycle could be added as a source into Exist?

Now that Moves is extinct, this would be my highest priority - where have I been, when, and how often?

It could also be used to classify locations such as home, work office, gym, favorite bar, etc. to tally time spent at frequent tasks.
