Just a note that Readwise does now have an API which while not showing that the user has read the summary at least would give highlights/day: https://readwise.io/api_deets

Additionally they now have a read-it-later service that is being positioned as a more performant alternative to InstaPaper and Pocket. Possibly it is worthwhile requesting an additional endpoint to support articles/words read while they are in a development phase: https://readwise.io/reader_api

I believe these are both valuable items to track.

I would just like to second Mitchell’s note, as I like many others have switched from Pocket to Readwise Reader, which I would love to connect to Exist! Crossing my fingers for an integration. 🤞https://readwise.io/api_deets

    Thank you 🙏

Unfortunately the API as it exists currently isn’t fit for our use case. If and when they make reading statistics available we’ll reevaluate 🙂

The newest Readwise Reader API will return a few things; word count, percent read. Not a ton, but there is some data there: https://readwise.io/reader_api

Something new here? Also Readwise Reader? Pocket is very outdated. It doesn’t save full articles, has the wrong focus. Readwise (& Reader) is a high-flyer with a very high user base.

It doesn’t look like anything has changed on Readwise’s end to make more data available, so we can’t do much from our end, I’m sorry. You may have more luck following up with them and asking them to include more reading statistics in their API output :)
