Enhancement to RSU Grant: Vesting Schedule

For the RSU Grant income source, add support for a vesting schedule and amount.

By way of example, let’s say the grant is 1000 shares at a cost basis of $20 per share. A portion of the grant will vest every 6 months, with 100 shares for the first two periods and 200 shares each period thereafter.

Have the ability to set either a projected value growth over time for the total grant (similar to what we have now) or a specific dollar amount (or maybe % growth) at vesting time.

This would then flow into the years on the projection when the shares would vest and would allow for handling more complex vesting schedules without the user having to create dozens of RSU Grant income items.

As a suggestion, I picture the vesting schedule being a button to add rows and, for each row, select the year in which the shares will vest, how many shares will vest that year, and the value (either cost basis + OR dollar amount).

For my use case, it fits into 3 incomes, two one-time and a third recurring annually. Here’s a spreadsheet to model/calculate this by way of example: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10QP6fbjQmUs4gg6cnfBzLEldI09cTJHXfogAt1y_aEg/edit?usp=sharing

Added suggestion: vest amount / year as % of total grant (as alternative option to above # of shares option) - so I don’t have to do the math :)

    E.g. year 1 = 5% vest, year 2 = 25% vest, etc.

Some companies also vest monthly. Fun edge cases!

Not just monthly. Some may change the vest schedule based upon the grant size. Thus you can have monthly, quarterly, and annual vesting all at once.
