This feature would be immensely useful for me because I want all the benefits of a progress tab of regularly updated information (even daily) without having to go in and add a progress point every day.

With just the addition of an externally facing API I could write a simple cron job to add a progress point every night based on automatically refreshed numbers from another service like YNAB, which would be the perfect end goal for me, so that I only have to open projectionlab when I want to look at the progress, not every day to update it.
