Highlight stacked bar being hovered in tooltip

The hover tooltip on the main chart is great, but oftentimes the colors on the stacked bar charts are so similar it’s hard to tell which is which. It does help that the tooltip order matches the bar stacking order, but because some of my bars are very small it makes it impossible to just “count up” or “count down” to figure it out. It would be great if there was some kind of indicator on the hover tooltip that indicated which account (in stacked by account) was being hovered.

Totally agree! Having an indicator for this would be helpful.

Yes, I love stacked bar charts but I can’t match the colors if there are more than a couple in a bar. I’m colorblind. I like your idea to keep the big tooltip and highlight the one you’re hovering over, but I would also like a setting to see just a minimal tooltip with the category/account/etc. name and amount being hovered over. That would make it much easier to look at the numbers for one category/account/etc. over time.

(Sometimes you want to see all the details within a year, and sometimes you want to see a category over time.)

Definitely looking for this. Within the large tooltip showing the account breakdown, the applicable account could also be outlined with a black border to indicate which account is matching the hover position on the stacked bar. With 8 different retirement accounts, I see 8 shades of blue and it’s hard to see which is which!
