Add Solo 401k Employer Contributions

Anyone making a substantial profit in a side hustle or self-employment LLC can contribute an employer-side contribution to their solo 401k in addition to the annual individual limit. This can be substantial –tens of thousands of dollars a year – and there isn’t a way to either put in a flat cash amount or model it as an “employer match” the way that you can with a typical 401k. Can this be added?

And a SEP IRA for other self-employed options.

Agree, a lot of our income is from self employed status (sole proprietor). It would be nice to have a true solo 401k option that included the employer option coming from our own accounts and to designate which account it came from.
