Conditional Expenses in Plan

Instead of just a basic recurring expense, it would be nice to be able to tie if an expense shows up the next year to something else like previous year’s return rate or previous year’s withdrawal rate? So basically, if I test the plan with historical data, if annual investment return was above x or last year’s withdrawal rate was below y, then show this expense in the next year.

I would like to expand on this.

Conditional expense or income item, especially Tax Credit and Tax Deduction.

And I’d like to be able to make them conditional on things that happen in the current year (i.e. if income is too high, you don’t get a certain tax deduction or tax credit).

In order to do a gradual phaseout of a credit or deduction this would need to be a bit more elaborate, and allow the user to specify a phaseout table to work against a given metric. (e.g. AGI).

However, I could see people wanting to setup the same kind of phaseout structure for an expense as well, so it could have broad uses.
